At last, some holidays have been great, and I feel revived.
Over the course of the last few days I have decided to take commercial photography a bit more serious, and explore the world of freelance photography. As a result, I have a few more (paid) gigs coming my way! I have my first wedding coming up in October, a corporate photo shoot in two weeks, head shots for an artist soon, multiple jazz concerts at the SJU, a jazz & blues festival and one more editing gig. Also I have spent generous amounts of time creating a website, different business cards and some financial tables and such. Also my reason for not taking care so much more of my deviantArt account lately. Bummer a day only has 24 hours.
In two weeks I'll be purchasing some new equipment as well. I will upgrade from my old Rebel XT to the new 50D, and replace my Canon IP4000 printer with an Epson Stylus R2880 printer. Two weeks ago I bought a used slick heavy duty tripod as well
This weeks feature list: Though time and again I keep finding these beautiful photo's on deviantArt, I feel as though this category is under-represented. Maybe under-appreciated. Mostly great photo's even as just a portrait. These photo's need to be seen, this weeks feature list will be a jazz special:

As you may have noticed I haven't been active on deviantart for a while... Things have been hectic and I haven't had time to upload/update. I've been considering leaving deviantart.

New Works
Been having an agenda filled with numerous fotoshoots. Resulting pics have been posted.
My Subscription now discontinued
September the 13th my subscription to DeviantArt will be expiring. Due to the high cost of the Photography program that I started last Wednesday, I have to start paying more attention to 'the small ones', and cut cost wherever I can. I choose to let it expire instead of renewal. However, I will try and make up for it by putting extra efford in my photography, and show more awesome works.
Also I will be opening a new website shortly to host my 'JAZZ' portfolio. An announcement page may be seen as of now at: www.jazzboek.nl.
As for the School of Photography, it's awesome, and just the kind of thing that I've been looking for. I'm really glad
Fotovakschool (School of Photography) Amsterdam 09
Had my very first class at the Fotovakschool (School of Photography) Amsterdam yesterday. So great, if only just to be around people who share the same passion and aspiration you have. The program seemed really intense at first, and to be honest, I was slightly intimidated by the first assignments that were given to us (they seem very personal). But the truth is, I have been my own teacher for a while now, too long, and I am no longer used to other people that challenge me. I love it!
Hope to learn as much as I can from this, it will cost my every penny I have, but I'm sure it's worth it!
